Executive Director for Home Care Agency with Strong Nursing Background

The Executive Director is located in Toronto, and would work alongside us to lead, manage and grow our corporate franchise location in North York and surrounding areas. Responsibilities
Business Development/Sales & Marketing
- Develops an annual Business Plan and identifies measurable quarterly drivers to meet/exceed revenue targets
- Develops a yearly marketing plan by analyzing and evaluating current business conditions and identifies new business opportunities in the community
- Contributes to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team
- Prepares regular reports, submissions and proposals for business opportunities
- Creates brand awareness/presence to promote the sales and marketing of programs with prospective and existing clients using the Qualicare outside sales system
- Actively develops and pursues referral sources, facilitates ongoing relationships with various medical and health communities and tracks information in sales CRM
Operations :
- Complies with any federal, provincial and accreditation regulations and will implement changes as prescribed
- Implements and maintains company policies and procedures and ensures the business is compliant with Qualicare operating systems, standards and guidelines
- Keeps current on local area issues and works with organizations that endeavor to improve the health and welfare of the community
- Maintains contacts with local, provincial and national associations and participates in meetings
- Responsible for the completion, keeping and submission of reports and records as required
- Manages the budget, weekly payroll and invoicing and provides financial analysis as needed
Client Care Management
- Consults with supervisors and staff, individually or in groups, regarding clients or families, special programs or service programs
- Oversees client care management processes including intake to client conversions, case set-up
- Directs the implementation of service goals and objectives and implements standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families
- Oversees the implementation and evaluation of client care services inclusive of regulatory licensure, certification criteria and accreditation standards
- Achieves/exceeds Client Net Promoter Scores and investigates issues and follows up promptly
Staff Management & Development :
- Oversees employee selection processes including recruitment, hiring and onboarding of staff
- Manages the overall performance of staff, including compensation
- Assesses appropriate staff supervision during all service hours and directs staff in the performance of their duties
- Directs and supervises professional and other personnel in rendering client care services
- Ensures staff development, including orientation, in-service education, continuing education and evaluation of staff
- Ensures verification of credentials and qualifications for caregiving personnel
- Oversees job functions, qualifications and job descriptions for staff classification
- Responsible for familiarizing the employees with all laws and regulations, and shall have copies of the rules available for their use
- Achieves/exceeds Employee Net Promoter Scores
Quality Assurance/Improvement & Risk Management :
- Participates in the review, analysis and appraisal of the effectiveness of the Quality/Risk Management program
- Directs and monitors organizational performance improvement activities
- Oversees organizational risk management program and ensures compliance with legislative requirements in areas such as health, employment, occupational health & safety
- Coordinates the timely implementation of corrective action plans
Professional Development:
- Participates in conferences and workshops to promote knowledge in community health trends, efficiency in job performance and overall professional growth
- Establishes and evaluates performance, personal goals and objectives for advancement in planning for personal & professional growth
- Involved in Qualicare leadership and management development opportunities
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in Ontario.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Has a minimum of five (5) years clinical experience, with at least half of that time working in home health or a related health care organization.
- Have a minimum of two - three years of direct employee supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and analytic/critical thinker
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community
- Understands provincial/state and federal regulatory compliance
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, health care administration or commensurate experience an asset
- Previous experience in a sales &/or marketing capacity preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Superb organization, planning, time management and multitasking skills
- Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office, Accounting software products)

Pay range and compensation package
The starting salary will be $110,000.
