Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area. Develops, implements, coordinates an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Adheres to polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice. Diagnostic Imaging Departments consists of facilities within outpatient imaging centers. These areas include Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Neuro-Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Positive Emission Tomography (PET), Mammography, Breast Ultrasound Imaging and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR). Some Departments have Interventional Suites, Ultrasound procedure rooms, and a pediatric anesthesia recovery unit. Performs all the duties of the lower levels. In addition, meets specific affiliate or collective bargaining agreement requirements outlined for this level. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: RN-Registered Nurse of California ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE Department: Any Pediatric Care, PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of current trends in nursing. Commitment to excellence in patient care. Effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrates accountability and professionalism. Adapts to change in a positive, professional, and productive manner. Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation. Knowledge of performance improvement and evidence-based practice. Basic computer skills. Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, taking into consideration protective interventions, development (behavioral and physical) and physiological characteristics specific to the patients. Experience working with ALL age groups. Cardiac Imaging knowledge Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to utilize medical terminology appropriately. DEPARTMENT REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Department, Interventional Radiology: Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology procedures to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department.
