Registered Health and Environmental Specialist Department: Environmental Health/Safety/Occupational Safety Employment Type: Full Time Location: Camden, NJ Description CME Associates is a leading engineering firm committed to providing innovative solutions in the fields of civil, structural, and environmental engineering. Our team of experts is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects that meet the unique needs of our clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) to join our team in our southern offices in New Jersey. Our office provides management and technical support to various clients as it pertains to septic system installations, repairs, and inspections. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and preparing septic system applications for new construction, system repairs, and coordinating in-house inspection services in support of those applications. The role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with our clients, other team members, and contractors as necessary. Responsibilities Project Management: Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, as well as working with inspectors, junior staff members, and support personnel assigned to these projects. Technical Documentation: Detailed review of application and supporting documentation, including technical reports, inspection logs, existing and proposed construction drawings, historical data, etc. A thorough understanding of technical requirements for the design and implementation of septic systems. Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in septic design, inspection, and/or construction of septic systems. Experience in solid waste management, site remediation, or industrial and land pollution a plus. Licensure: Possession of a valid Registered Environmental Health Specialist License issued by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services. Technical Skills: A thorough understanding of the technical requirements for the design and implementation of septic systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Office products. Technical knowledge of solid waste management, site remediation, or industrial and land pollution a plus. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
