Responsibilities JOB TITLE: Registered Dietitian
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides direct basic nutrition service and are committed to delivering respectful, compassionate care to our patients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Manatee Memorial Hospital standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Manatee Memorial Hospital resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Manatee Memorial Hospital/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications and Requirements Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major, post 01/01/2024 Master Degree Required. Only those seeking to become eligible for the registration examination for dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 2024 are required to have completed the minimum of a graduate degree granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent
Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian and or "Registry Eligible " with Condition of Passing the exam within 6 months. Individuals who established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023, or those who are already registered will not be required by CDR to obtain a graduate degree. Individuals eligible before the graduate degree requirement takes effect will not be required to take the examination before January 1, 2024.
