Position Title: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Reports To: Director of Operations
Job Summary : Join our team as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and play a vital role in providing preventive oral care-cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to help our patients maintain their health.
Hours: This is a full-time position, Mondays through Thursdays
Mondays and Wednesdays: 7:00 am to 4:50 pm, closed 12:00-1:00 for lunch
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:00 am-2:00 pm
Essential Duties :

- Document treatment details in patient charts.
- Take and label X-rays as needed.
- Assess periodontal conditions and provide thorough evaluations.
- Escort patients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Apply topical agents and perform preventive procedures.
- Assist the dentist during exams and document findings.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms.
- Educate patients on preventive care and home care practices.
- Schedule future appointments and manage patient recalls.
Additional or different duties may be assigned occasionally at the employer's discretion.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Proficient in using a Cavitron and performing radiographs and local anesthesia.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations.
- Competent in office software (Eaglesoft, MS Office).
- Trustworthy and collaborative with staff and patients.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communicator who can follow instructions and accept feedback.
Education / Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene School (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a hygienist (required).
Certifications/Licenses :
-Current RDH license with local anesthesia (required).
- Current CPR & First Aid certification (preferred).
Physical and Environmental Requirements :
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Frequent movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, bending, etc.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for detailed work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
