Registered Dental Assistant
Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) is a federally funded, nonprofit community health center operating Joint Commission accredited
licensed primary care health centers. Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) is hiring full-time/part-time/per diem Registered Dental
Assistant for our various health centers in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valley area.
The mission of Northeast Valley Health Corporation is to provide quality, safe and comprehensive healthcare to the medically underserved
residents of Los Angeles County, particularly in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys, in a manner that is sensitive to the economic, social,
cultural and linguistic needs of the community.

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for providing the patient with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory,
and patient care duties. The RDA assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures by preparing patients and handling instruments
and materials. The RDA also performs many other tasks including clinical infection control procedures, maintaining, and ordering
materials/supplies, cleaning and disinfecting operatories, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, maintaining equipment, taking x-rays, educating
patients and other duties as allowed under the California state law under the licensing of RDA.

RDA-Business Office Manager
Qualifications:
1. Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California.
2. No minimum experience as a Registered Dental Assistant (Entry Level)
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant I.
4. Current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
5. Computer skills in electronic health record systems, and database systems.
6. Fluency in English (speak, read and write).
7. Fluency in Spanish (speak, translate, read and write) required.
8. Current California driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage acceptable to the NEVHC's insurance carrier.
9. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served and has knowledge of the
principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she is able to identify and categorize each patient's age specific grouping of needs,
such as those for infant, adolescent, or geriatric patients.
