Registered Children's Home Manager
Initial 3-month interim contract (likely at least 6 months)
Location: Yorkshire, full-time
Rate: Up to £450/day Inside IR35, paid through FCSA Umbrella
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in Yorkshire for a Registered Children's Home Manager for a 3-bed Home. You will report to the Service Manager for Children's Residential. The key focus of this role will be to register and improve the Ofsted rating for the Home.
Your duties as the Registered Children's Home Manager, Children's Social Care:
- Lead and manage the development and shaping of the home, ensuring dynamic plans for the children and young people.
- Ensure the Home is ready for an incoming Ofsted Inspection.
- Safeguarding and promotion of well-being for those residing within the home.
- Ensure the home complies with the Quality Standards and Children's Homes Regulations (2015).
- Provide staff with training and development opportunities to enable them to be fully skilled and understand what Ofsted "Good" looks like.
Your experience needed as the Registered Children's Home Manager, Children's Social Care:
- Must have a Level 5 Children's Home Management Qualification.
- Must have been a Registered Manager (with Ofsted) previously.
- Experience as a Registered Manager within the past 3 years is preferred.
- Proven track record as a Registered Manager in a children's home.
- Understanding of what "Good" looks like according to Ofsted.
