Our client, a prominent company in the Building Control sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team in Cambridgeshire. This permanent position is open to both class 2 and class 3 inspectors who will be responsible for both plan checking and site inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed plan checking to ensure compliance with building regulations and codes
- Performing thorough site inspections to assess current and potential issues
- Ensuring all construction and design work adhere to approved plans and regulations
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation on inspection findings
- Liaising with builders, architects, and engineers to provide guidance on compliance matters
- Providing expert advice on building control issues
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progression
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of building regulations and associated legislation
- Proficiency in conducting both plan checking and site inspections
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prepare detailed and accurate reports
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certification and registration as a Building Inspector
- Class 2 or Class 3 Inspector qualification
