A private equity-backed precision manufacturing company is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead new business development and accelerate growth across key verticals, including aerospace, medical, industrial, and marine.


Following a recent consolidation into a single facility and backed by strong operational infrastructure, this business is poised to scale from $9M to $35M by 2025 as part of a larger industrial platform. With a hands-on PE sponsor focused on operational excellence and lean principles, this role is central to the company's expansion strategy.


The Role:

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for owning and driving the commercial strategy to acquire new customers, close high-value contracts, and support long-term revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted industries
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads using modern sales tools (HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Meet regularly with clients, prospects, and internal teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs
  • Partner closely with engineering and production to ensure project feasibility and timely execution
  • Attend industry events and client meetings to establish market presence and deepen relationships

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a driven, autonomous sales leader who thrives in a high-performance, entrepreneurial environment.

Ideal Background:

  • 5+ years in outside sales or business development in manufacturing
  • Deep knowledge of CNC machining, welding, and metal fabrication
  • Ability to read technical drawings and discuss manufacturing specs with engineers
  • Experience selling into industrial, aerospace, medical, or marine sectors
  • Strong customer network in any of the above markets is a plus
