Position Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) plays a critical leadership role in executing Wy'East Medical's strategic vision for revenue growth and market expansion. The RSM will be responsible for driving direct sales, expanding key account relationships, and leading a team within a defined geographic region. This role combines individual contributor responsibilities with regional team leadership to ensure alignment with national sales goals and the growth of Wy'East's position in the Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) space.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Direct Business Growth

Lead efforts to expand direct business by identifying new opportunities and cultivating strong relationships with hospitals, health systems, and healthcare professionals in Acute Care and Safe Patient Handling space.

Personally manage high-value accounts and execute full sales cycles from lead generation to close.

Engage early in the customer buying process to shape needs, influence specifications, and offer tailored solutions that align with Wy'East's portfolio.

Ensure consistent pipeline development and maintain a 12-month rolling sales forecast.

Track key sales metrics, including lead conversion, quote generation, and revenue targets.


Team Management & Development

Manage, coach, and support a team of Territory Field Reps and Account Executives within the region to drive performance and meet collective sales targets.

Foster a culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous learning.

Support team members with complex deals, client meetings, and product demonstrations.

Coordinate regular team meetings, field rides, and performance reviews.


Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers including SPHM professionals, Nursing, Risk Management, Procurement, and C-Suite executives.

Serve as a resource and consultant for clinical stakeholders, ensuring product solutions align with patient safety and mobility outcomes.

Act as a voice of the customer, relaying feedback to internal stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, Operations).


Administrative & Compliance

Ensure all team members maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.

Maintain and oversee storage units used for regional sales support.

Participate in national and regional trade shows, conventions, and training events.

Ensure compliance with customer credentialing requirements and internal company policies.

Maintain current vaccinations, willingness to obtain annual flu vaccine, TB test, COVID vaccine and other credentialing qualifications as required by customers and the company.

Maintain company Outlook Calendar with customer appointments, travel plans, and other related schedule information, openly sharing with colleagues and management.


Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of successful medical device sales experience; 2+ years in a sales leadership or team management role strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field.

Demonstrated ability to build new business and manage a team across a multi-state region.

Strong clinical acumen and/or experience in Safe Patient Handling preferred.

Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

Valid driver's license, clean background check, and ability to meet travel and credentialing requirements.

Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. , including bending kneeling, and reaching.

Willingness and ability to drive company vans or to rent mid-size box trucks (i.e., Penske) with liftgates to transport Company products to customer locations in support of the sales process."

Ability to travel as necessary (up to 75%) within assigned region.


Compensation package:

Base Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000 per year DOE.

On Target Earnings up to $200,000

Cell phone stipend
