We are seeking an experienced, personable Regional Sales Manager to manage, grow, and develop the brand across independent retailers within the specified geographical region. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial skills, a passion for product, excellent customer service, and a commitment to promoting our brand values.
You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our established portfolio of luxury gifting retailers in the region. This includes visiting stockists regularly to help grow their sales of Jellycat products, maximize opportunities, and ensure the brand is well-presented in-store. A genuine love of retail and familiarity with the region are essential.
Your role involves ensuring Jellycat is present in the right luxury accounts across high streets, towns, cities, and shopping malls. You will nurture existing relationships and proactively identify new stockists and opportunities, always focusing on luxury retail.
The main goal is to be a Jellycat brand ambassador, growing sales and ensuring the brand's visual appeal in stores, sharing joy with consumers. Building and nurturing strong relationships is crucial to expanding our product categories, including Loveables, Amuseables, Baby Jellycat, Books, and Accessories.
You'll be:
- Responsible for the portfolio of independent stockists.
- Field-based, visiting each customer regularly.
- Collaborating with marketing to ensure proper POS branding and promotional materials at retail.
- Providing in-store product and brand training.
- Ensuring accounts have access to new collection launches.
- Managing orders and monitoring credit status.
- Achieving annual sales growth and budget targets.
- Developing strong, professional relationships with stockists.
- Identifying new luxury target stockists.
- Working with your team leader on financial planning.
- Aligning retail activations and launches with peers.
- Providing sales performance feedback and sell-thru data.
- Mentoring accounts on visual display and product selection.
- Creating tailored product stories for each store based on location and customer base.
- Proactively seeking growth and brand awareness opportunities.
- Presenting quarterly regional updates.
- Reporting sales and KPIs as required.
- Presenting branding opportunities to line managers and the Head of Sales.
- Attending UK tradeshows and supporting events.
- Visiting key national accounts and supporting account managers with visual merchandising.
You'll have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a sales manager working with independent store owners.
- Residence or proximity to your designated territory.
- Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented approach.
- The ability to be a true team player.
- Flexible, personable, positive working style; motivated by high performance.
- Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint.
- Understanding of product presentation and visual merchandising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within a luxury brand is preferred.
