A leading global manufacturer of chemicals is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and develop strong relationships with new and existing customers. This role will focus on Key Account Management and Sales Target Tracking best practices to maximize sales and profitability.


Territory: Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska.


Account Management

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying and closing new sales opportunities and through strategic account management.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our products and technologies to drive sales.
  • Lead customer negotiations to secure profitable deals and long-term partnerships.
  • Analyze customer needs and work closely with internal teams to ensure technical approvals and successful sales execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, agreements, proposals, and quotations using CRM software.
  • Monitor customer demand and provide timely sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure order fulfillment and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all products.
  • Manage distributor relationships to maximize market potential.
  • Contribute to Global Key Account Teams for strategic sales initiatives.

Business Development

  • Drive sustainable growth by identifying and acquiring new customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the industry.
  • Develop strategies to engage potential clients and track progress using CRM tools.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, customer needs, and emerging trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions and networking events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Science, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical product marketing.
  • Industry experience in chemical manufacturing, coatings, polymers, adhesives, or chemical additives preferred.
  • Proven expertise in Key Account Management, CRM systems, and strategic sales methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen, commercial ability, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical proficiency in basic chemistry terminology and its application to industry needs.
