Veridea Group is looking for a ProActive Regional Sales Manager to join our team in the Montana Market. The hotels are located in Bozeman, Helena and Kalispell, MT. The Sales Manager is responsible for securing catering, banquet, group and volume business into the property. As a vital function of the hotel, Veridea Group Sales Manager ensures that the hotel meets its financial goals. Responsibilities

Solicit, confirm and coordinate Special Corporate and Group sales. Handle customer inquiries and leads requests for groups (e.g., Focused Service/Extended Stay, 10-99 peak room nights based upon property). Respond in a timely manner to incoming group/catering opportunities that are within predefined Group Sales parameters. Work with customers to align customer preferences with brand needs and actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty. Important Daily/weekly tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Proactive Sales - Seek out new group, catering, banquet and corporate business that would otherwise not utilize the hotel if not for your direct efforts.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of accounts across group, banquet, and event segments, maintaining strong relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Action Plans/Problem solving- Working with management & sales team to identify issues of revenue generation then execute strategy over a specific period of time.
  • Relationship building- Developing an association or connection with potential clients in order to secure long term business.
  • Accountability- Communicating actions & recording activities in order to measure efforts, implement successful strategies, and reward accomplishments.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Conduct site tours showcasing guestrooms, banquet spaces, and hotel amenities to potential clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Banquet, Food & Beverage, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Represent the hotel at local networking events, trade shows, and industry gatherings to generate leads and enhance brand awareness.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and booking details within the hotel's CRM system.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Senior Leadership, providing insights into market trends and competitor activities.
  • Achieve or exceed established sales goals and performance targets for room nights, catering revenue, and total banquet revenue.
  • Uphold brand standards and deliver an exceptional level of professionalism, service, and responsiveness to all prospective and existing clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of proven hotel sales experience, preferably in a full-service hotel with banquet/event space.
  • Experience with Hilton and Marriott.
  • Experience handling both group room blocks and banquet/catering events strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, event planning processes, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/Event Management systems (Delphi).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present and sell hotel services effectively.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.
  • Local market knowledge and existing relationships within corporate, association, and social markets are a plus.
