PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of our PEMSales Team. As the Regional Manager covering Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, you'll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things. The Regional Manager promotes and supports PennEngineering products, installation equipment functions with the fabricators, contract manufacturers and distributors within region of responsibility. Interact and own the relationship at the key fabricators, with management, engineering, and production to promote and design PEM products into suitable applications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Engage with existing customers, distributors, responding to leads and seeking out new potential customers.
  • Maintain good relationships between our distributors and fabrication customers within the region via, visits, sales calls, and joint meetings to promote the PEM product lines.
  • Work with OEM accounts and fabricators to design in and support PEM hardware installation.
  • Facilitate technical training to update the distribution/fabricators/design centers of new products and PEM fastener hardware uses.
  • Identify and target areas of opportunity to support customer needs and overall growth of the region.
  • Assist manufacturers with selecting the best fastener design and use for their application.
  • Must be comfortable working with fabricators and engaging at all levels of their workforce including engineering, management, and production.
  • Maintain opportunity and account plans in Salesforce CRM tool with weekly updates and opportunity tracking tools.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate with the sales team detailing activities and opportunities within a given region.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly/quarterly sales meetings providing feedback on the region performance and voice of customers.
  • Nature of the position requires a large portion of time to be spent at the customer within the region designing fasteners into applications, supporting installation needs, ensuring fabricators are fully supported when using PEM products.
  • Travel throughout the region on an ongoing basis with overnight travel as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • BS in Business/Engineering or minimum 5 years' experience in similar capacity
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to best support our customers, positive attitude working towards solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including developing and delivering presentations
  • Proficient with Microsoft office with ability to develop and analyze data/reports
  • Familiar with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes, capabilities, and equipment. (presses, lasers, etc.)
  • Experience working with sheet metal fabricators and/or fastener background is a plus
  • Can work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, organized and prioritize workload, can collaborate with various teams working towards shared initiatives
  • Ability to travel by both air and car on a regular basis
