Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:
- Expand business within an existing client base while identifying and onboarding new Specialty Retail accounts through strategic outreach and relationship building.
- Launch new product offerings and promotional programs across assigned territories, aligning with company marketing efforts to generate pull-through demand.
- Propose and implement territory-specific promotional strategies-including incentives, demonstrations, discounts, and bill-back initiatives-by presenting clear action plans to leadership.
- Monitor performance through regular business reviews and ensure timely acquisition of distributor sales performance data each quarter.
- Partner with key distributor accounts to strengthen operational alignment and manage cost efficiencies across trade spend and service levels.
- Support distributor and broker networks through on-site customer visits, product trainings, and market development activities.
- Introduce and manage sample distribution for product launches, while maintaining oversight of territory sample budget.
- Collaborate with leadership to tailor sales collateral and marketing materials to align with the needs of regional distributors.
- Maintain up-to-date, in-depth product knowledge and serve as a resource to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the brand at regional and national trade events; coordinate closely with internal teams to meet all event planning and execution requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' sales experience, preferably within the specialty food industry.
- Established network and working knowledge of the specialty retail landscape within the assigned territory.
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow customer relationships while meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Strong business acumen and experience developing and closing sales pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
