The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with both New York City Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst and NYC H+H/Queens has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Regional Radiation Oncologist.
The position is a clinical role with clinical duties taking place at both Elmhurst and Queens Hospitals. Both Elmhurst and Queens Radiation Oncology departments have full-time Director of Service physicians and this role will be the second physician at each site.
The physician will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient consultations, treatment prescribing and planning, chart rounds, on-treatment visits, follow ups, tumor boards at both Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Centers, with on-call responsibilities split among the physicians on service. The hospitals are easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
The department at Elmhurst has all new technology including LINAC, CT simulator, and EMRs. The department at Queens will be undergoing a renovation in 2025 for new LINAC, CT sim, and EMR similar to Elmhurst.
Candidates must have a MD degree and be ABR board certified or eligible with a valid New York State license, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, experience with advanced radiation modalities and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
Compensation ranges from $380,000 to $400,000 including on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions (Elmhurst only) throughout the academic year.
