FWI is building a team to provide technically skilled contractor personnel to augment the U.S. Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) in regulating defense trade through Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance, including registration, licensing, enforcement, and policy development to ensure proper oversight of defense article exports and imports. As a Regional Multilateral Analyst Level IV, you will lead the planning and implementation of new policies, regulations, and legislation associated with arms transfers and regional security while independently drafting and implementing regulatory changes to the ITAR and preparing briefing materials for senior Department officials' meetings with foreign governments and international stakeholders. Position is contingent upon contract award Work Schedule and Location: On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities Employs mastery of professional field to apply experimental theories and new developments to complex problems Makes decisions/recommendations that significantly change, interpret, or develop important public policies or programs Isolates and defines unknown conditions, resolves critical problems, or develops new theories Provides products/services affecting work of other experts and development of major administrative/scientific programs Leads in planning and implementing new policies, regulations, and legislation for arms transfers, regional security, and confidence-building measures Independently drafts, publishes, and implements regulatory changes to the ITAR Independently reviews regulatory changes made by other agencies affecting office equities Independently prepares briefing materials for senior Department officials for meetings with foreign officials, USG counterparts, and non-governmental entities Qualifications Required: ACTIVE Secret clearance required; must be able to obtain Top Secret or TS/SCI if requested by the customer Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business Administration or related field Minimum 5 years experience in related career field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects consistent with established timeframes Excellent ability to synthesize information and develop recommendations for management based on an analysis of the information Excellent judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and be able to operate all office equipment including but not limited to: telephones, copy machines, fax machines, scanners, printers, and computers May be required to travel within domestic and/or international May be required to travel domestically and/or internationally FWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
