We are looking for a Regional Meeting Program Administrator to lead the Family to Family (FTDM) program in Region 4, Department of Children, Youth & Family (DCYF). This includes policy interpretation and holds responsibility for local and regional outcomes. As an Administrator for a region-wide program, this position requires a working understanding of safety and risk assessment, permanency planning, family preservation, family-centered principles, child-focused practice, strategies for family engagement, and expertise in building relationships with clients, staff, and community leaders. The Opportunity:
The Regional Meeting Program Administrator reports to the Deputy Regional Administrator for Region 4 child welfare. This position provides management and supervision to six (6) Meeting Program Consultants across the region. This position directly administers, supervises, leads, coordinates, and facilitates the implementation and oversight of the Family to Family Program. This position assists managers and staff in interpreting agency and program policies and procedures and is responsible for local and regional outcomes reports for regional management and headquarters.

Some of what you will do:
  • Implement the shared decision-making programs specifically focused on family engagement utilizing the identified model to include self-evaluation, support of resource families (relative, kin, and foster), building community partnerships, and family decision-making meetings.
  • Recruit, interview, and provide hiring recommendations for new staff to the Regional Administrator.
  • Provide direct supervision to Meeting Program Consultants (SHPC4).
  • Develop and implement regional practices to support team and staff in shared decision-making and meeting program model that includes processes based in agency values and cultural humility.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports as well as other staff in human-centered practice and development of cultural awareness and humility in all interactions.
  • Ensure supervisors and staff have the necessary information for successful interactions in meetings with families, caregivers, stakeholders, and staff.
  • Conduct monthly unit meetings and training updates as needed for program improvement following systemic developments.
  • Conduct timely completion of employee performance evaluations and annual expectations.
  • Respond and manage personnel issues including handling concerns, complaints, and corrective action in collaboration with HR.
  • Participate as regional and program lead in statewide program meetings/workgroups.

Required Qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of management experience in Child Welfare, Social Services, Mental Health, or Education.
OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Public Administration, Social Work, or other closely allied field AND five (5) years of management experience in Social Services, Mental Health, or Education.
AND
  • Knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws and policies related to social and health programs, principles and practices of program assessment, planning, public administration and personnel management.
  • Knowledge of social concerns within Region 6, principles of public administration, program consultation, monitoring and the ability to promote positive relationships with vendors/providers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of organizational change and the ability to articulate this to others in a strength based, positive outcomes manner.
  • Knowledge and understanding of principles of program management/consultation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and other electronic applications.

  • Strong understanding of culturally responsive and multi-cultural work practice.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, teach, and train on work-related tasks.
  • Ability to influence practice-culture change.
  • Ability to recognize trends, systemic issues and service gaps, and use information to bring system improvements to the work structure.
  • Ability to track and plan effectiveness and programmatic outcomes while working as a team member with management to integrate and sustain the program in regional child welfare practice.
  • Ability to use appropriate data and analyze programmatic outcomes to determine consistency within expectations and improvements.
