A Regional Medical Director is required covering multiple locations across Southern California, enjoy still practicing veterinary medicine, while taking a key role in the development of multiple hospitals across the region.
Our partners are seeking a motivated and compassionate Regional Medical Director to lead clinical excellence across a group of veterinary hospitals across Southern California. This is a dynamic, multi-site leadership role where you'll guide medical standards, mentor fellow DVMs, and drive best practices that elevate patient care and client satisfaction. You won't just influence individual hospitals-you'll shape the veterinary experience across a thriving region.
As the Medical Director, you'll collaborate closely with a Regional Operations Director to foster high-performing teams, develop leadership among associate doctors, and ensure the delivery of consistent, top-tier care. You'll also play a key role in recruiting talent, mentoring new veterinarians, and supporting professional development initiatives for all clinicians under your guidance.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian ready to step into a high-impact leadership position while still staying clinically involved. You'll be instrumental in shaping culture, streamlining operations, and setting the tone for medical excellence-while receiving the tools, support, and resources to lead effectively.

- Oversee extern and intern programs and represent the organization at vet schools
- Attend 30-40 hours of CE annually to set the example in lifelong learning
About you:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution
- Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience leading or managing veterinary teams (multi-site preferred)
- Passionate about mentorship, team development, and elevating care standards
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset
