Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


1. Lead day-to-day operations of assigned clinic location(s) in a geographic market to ensure proficient and quality service is delivered within all sections of the clinic; ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

2. Effectively lead, train and develop a team of employees including hiring, training and development, etc. Promotes personal growth/development and understanding among colleagues.

3. Presents problems in a professional manner and helps coordinate solutions inter-departmentally. Creatively seeks solutions to existing problems as well as potential problems. Creatively implements solutions to problems.

4. Creatively seeks new ideas to stay within budget guidelines while constantly improving the quality of health care delivered.

5. Ensures charging/reimbursement changes are integrated into every level of clinic operations by coordinating with the clinic team.

6. Assists with documentation audits.

7. Partners with Regional Director to ensure success within the clinic.

8. Prepares, monitors, and adjusts budget.

9. Develops, implements and monitors clinic objectives, processes, procedures, standards, and educational programs in conjunction with the mission and the philosophy of MercyOne Medical Group.

10. Works collaboratively with Medical Group Administration and other leaders to develop, evaluate and monitor standard processes based on best practice.

11. Develops and maintains quality assurance programs.

12. Proactively analyzes clinic operations to identify barriers or new opportunities.

13. Directs the maintenance of physical environment and equipment.

14. Serves as liaison between physicians and Medical Group Administration, promoting understanding and agreement in regard to future goals.

15. Directs, motivates, and evaluates activities of clinic employees, ensuring that clinic goals and expectations are met.

16. Ensures the impact of constant change is positive in nature to employees, patients, and physicians

17. Directs clinic in complying with applicable laws and regulations relative to clinic operations (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, COLA, HIPAA, Stark, etc.).

18. Ensures that patient concerns are addressed and that appropriate and timely follow-up is performed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


1. Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, health administration, or related field required; or enrolled in a Bachelor's program and actively pursuing.

2. 5-7 years experience in healthcare required with a preferred background in employer based clinics or occupational health.

3. Minimum of 2 years in clinic leadership or management role required

4. Preferred experience working in an organization of comparable size and complexity with experience in multi-site management.

5. Experience managing colleagues in a healthcare setting preferred.

6. Experience working with physicians and advanced practice providers preferred.

7. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form.


PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS


1. Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working with the System Office and Regional Health Ministries (RHMs).

2. Must be able to travel to the various MercyOne sites as needed.

3. Must be able to effectively analyze, communicate and respond.

4. Must reside in one of the MercyOne regional service area(s).

5. Position requires high level of mental concentration to attain established deadlines. Working environment includes frequent interruptions.

6. Has potential for exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous waste and chemicals.
