Compensation - $65K - $80K + Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision + Equity)

Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, Computer/Tech/Robotics-focused Fleet Technician with strong mechanical and computer troubleshooting abilities to join our team. This role is field-focused and hands-on, requiring a unique combination of robotics insight, mechanical repair skills, and computer-based diagnostics. You will work closely with Engineering to maintain, diagnose, and repair high-tech fleet assets both in-state and out-of-state if needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit remote customer job sites to inspect and maintain company fleet assets.
  • Connect diagnostic tools and run scripts on laptops and robotics systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems including wiring, connectors, sensors, and controller boards to engineering specifications.
  • Execute inspection checklists with exact precision and attention to detail.
  • Perform physical inspections of heavy machinery and robotics platforms to identify wear, changes, or malfunctions.
  • Accurately document and communicate technical findings to Engineering using internal systems.
  • Travel as needed, including long-distance drives (100+ miles/day) and out-of-state assignments.
  • Join virtual meetings with West Coast teams, occasionally during late hours.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling based on customer and equipment needs.
Qualifications Required:
  • Strong focus and interest in computers, technology, and robotics.
  • Mechanically and electronically inclined; capable of diagnosing and repairing both types of systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for computers, sensors, robotics systems, and controller boards.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documentation and execute procedures exactly.
  • Comfortable in field environments, including climbing on equipment and working in dirt or mud.
  • Excellent attention to detail; capable of spotting small variations and reporting them effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, open and clear, but task-focused.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to Engineering and non-technical audiences.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity; able to pivot as priorities shift.
  • Clean driving record (no incidents in the past 3 years).
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
  • Physically able to climb, lift, and maneuver in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Punctuality is a must, must consistently arrive on time for scheduled assignments.
Preferred:
  • Experience with robotics platforms or autonomous systems.
  • Experience with heavy equipment or machinery.
  • Experience using a variety of mechanical and electronic tools.
  • Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ASE, robotics training).
  • Associate s or Bachelor s degree in a technical or engineering-related field.
