Director of Sales - Northern California
Serendipity Wines is a successful and fast-growing wine distributor that is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated leader who wants to join their passion for wine with the art of selling. We are seeking a professional with prior sales management experience to lead our NorCal sales team. Fundamental wine knowledge is required and prior management experience in distribution is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve Quarterly and Annual Sales Targets
- Monitor and Direct Sales Representative's planning, activity, and presentations
- Grow and Maintain SKU Distribution throughout the sales territory
- Measuring and Monitoring item distribution in their Market
- Coaching and Mentoring of Sales Representatives
- Recruit and Train New Hires
- Build and Manage Serendipity Customer Relationships
DUTIES- Provide Route Management oversight
- Monitor and Measure account and route plans with Sales Representatives
- Oversee Surveying of Account Distribution
- Review and Analyze Account Distribution Reports
- Manage Wine List Surveys performed by Sales Representatives
- Open new accounts and direct account assignments
- Monitoring Focus item performance
- Rep work withs and account calls with feedback report
- Manage Promotions and Incentives, including "focus item" programming
- Coordinate and monitor supplier market visits
QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years wine industry experience in Sales and Marketing
- Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills required for managing account data on an online platform
- Knowledge of wine regions and grape varietals
- Internet savvy and computer literate including Microsoft Excel
- The ability to lift 50 pounds and reliable transportation
