Job Description

Pay range: $103,280- $129,100 / annually

The Regional Director of Fitness (RDF) leads and empowers District Fitness Managers (DFMs) to deliver innovative and competitive fitness offerings at Chuze. This role oversees fitness operations, including leadership, culture, customer service, studio maintenance, and Fitness Pro development. The RDF collaborates with Senior leadership and cross-functionally throughout the Home Office to plan and execute initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and resource alignment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Foster strong, professional relationships with Fitness teams and cross-functional stakeholders through regular club visits, team-building activities, promoting fun and motivating culture, and developing direct reports through verbal coaching, annual performance reviews, and the full scope of corrective actions and separations
  • Promote and engage in the growth and development process by utilizing feedback received from the SDF and proactively seeking opportunities for personal growth
  • Facilitate consistent communication between Fitness leadership and Home Office departments, relaying all important updates, providing the "why," and inspiring and encouraging teams to remain adaptable
  • Encourage collaboration amongst Fitness leadership, establishing a rapport for employees to recommend innovative solutions for the department and encourage teams to ask questions as it relates to change
  • Lead and attend regularly scheduled district, region, and company-wide meetings and training sessions, preparing presentation materials as needed
  • Approve and proactively review and elevate all recruiting efforts within the region, maintaining oversight of staff levels and recruiting and onboarding new DFMs to ensure a strong leadership pipeline
  • Establish and utilize current Key Performance Objectives (KPOs) to ensure standards are met for reporting, staffing, attendance metrics, labor, budgets, and programming
  • Proactively lead districts in the absence of the DFM during times of PTO, when sourcing a new manager, or as additional support, completing or overseeing all DFM duties and responsibilities
  • Act as a bridge between the field and People Team by partnering with management to address escalated personnel concerns, proactively providing solutions and guidance for any actions taken as needed
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies across the Fitness department by assessing existing department strategies and conducting quarterly competitor analyses to understand industry trends, recommending organizational improvements, and implementing innovative solutions in partnership with the VP and SDF
  • Establish objectives, communication strategies, and accountability measures for DFMs to develop their teams, partnering to build upon existing education, enhance employee engagement and retention, and maintain member satisfaction
