Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, general accounting, analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing, preferably in a behavioral health setting. At least 3 years of supervisory experience (required). Familiarity with County DMH Systems or equivalent. Valid California driver's license; CPA certification (if applicable). How you will make a difference (Job Overview): A Regional Controller is a senior financial professional overseeing a company's financial and accounting operations within a designated geographic region. This role includes managing budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and analysis to support the organization's strategic goals for that area. Division/Program Overview: The Regional Controller oversees the Finance Department's operations, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and federal, state, county, and local regulations. Responsibilities include managing general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, cash and banking, collections, financial reporting, and analysis. This role also involves conducting financial analysis, generating related reports, and, when needed, handling county billing. Key duties focus on verifying the accuracy of financial documents, coordinating external audits for regulatory compliance, managing financial communications, and assessing growth opportunities. This position may involve supervising staff, both on-site and remotely, and requires handling sensitive, confidential information.
