Position Summary Accountable for budgeting, leading, managing, developing, and implementing the Automation business strategy Responsibilities of the Role Develop and successfully implement an annual Rockwell Automation and associated business plan, including sales goals, target accounts, and commercial events Directly manages the automation resources for optimal utilization of resources, ensuring product knowledge, quality, and consistent level of service by all team members Analyze and evaluate the performance of the Automation Team Lead and participate in Rockwell Quarterly Business Reviews with members of the leadership team Analyze Rockwell Automation product sales gaps and focus sales efforts to fill those gaps Engage in direct communications with automation suppliers regarding technical applications and other pertinent information related to automation projects Make sales calls on customers to assist in Rockwell Automation and associated product market share gains Champions Rockwell Automation and associated product along with Account Manager relationships for the territory Primary Requirements Reside in Central Illinois-i.e. (Danville, Champaign, Decatur, Bloomington, Springfield, Macomb, Peoria, Effingham, Centralia, or Mt. Vernon ) Familiar with the region and electrical market Familiar with the Illinois vendor market and Automation products Solid understanding of the electrical wholesale distribution industry is preferred You must have legal status that enables you to work in the U.S. We cannot obtain sponsorship. Education/Experience would include: College degree or 5+ years' relevant work experience. Goal-oriented and self-motivated. Superior communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, customer contact skills, and telephone etiquette skills. Demonstrable computer skills and aptitude; Microsoft Office is preferred, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Proven Automation expertise, sales management/supervisory experience, planning/decision-making skills, and problem-resolution skills. Thorough understanding of business operations and processes.
