The Regional Account Manager acts as the sales contact for a multi-state region/territory, driving sales of Tiger-Sul products through distribution partners and other channels. This position will also provide technical support to customers in the territory. This is a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to sell product into the agriculture market.
MUST RESIDE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STATES: IA, IL, MN, OR WI Detailed Responsibilities: - Manage fertilizer sales with a focus on increasing revenue, margin and tonnage in territory
- Develop and execute a business plan to achieve target in the ag market
- Forecast sales volumes based on business plan and territory conditions
- Be the main point of contact and Sulphur expert for customers in the territory
- Gather market intel on territory to assist in pricing strategies for market conditions
- Enjoy working remotely with ability to be highly productive
- Schedule travel to meet with current customers and pursuing new opportunities
- Participate in state associations and trade shows as necessary
- Submit territory reports and expense reports in a concise and timely manner, including CRM entries
- Assist Agronomist on territory research and presentation
- Assist on marketing opportunities in territory to maximize results
Qualifications: - College degree preferred. BS Agriculture or Business degree, CCA is a plus
- Prefer more than five years of sales experience with a history of building new business
- Ability to travel extensively, likely 60% to effectively cover territory and develop new business.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to learn CRM system
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget
- Demonstrated initiative; results oriented and able to work independently
- Proven ability to be highly organized and to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and present ideas confidently and persuasively
Language Skills: - Ability to read, write, and speak English
