EPA Certified HVAC Technician
Our client seeks a motivated and adaptable individual to join their team as an EPA Certified HVAC Technician for a dynamic role involving troubleshooting, inspections, and product installs for their fleet. The ideal candidate will be someone with a solid technical background, current EPA 608 certification, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while traveling for assignments across the U.S.
This is a remote role requiring travel. Candidates must live within the state of New Jersey or Pennsylvania and live within a commutable distance to a major airport.
EPA Certified HVAC Technician Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot HVAC issues over the phone and via email, clearly communicating complex, technical information to clients in a comprehendible manner.
- Handle the installation, commissioning, operation of refrigerated products at client sites.
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance, defect identification, and repairs on large-scale products.
- Perform annual inspections at client locations and complete detailed risk assessments
- Maintain accurate survey reports, documentation, and commissioning paperwork.
- Travel Requirements: up to 50%, especially between May and October, to various client locations for large installs, inspections, and customer meetings.
EPA Certified HVAC Technician Qualifications:
- Must have and maintain EPA 608 certification.
- 3+ years of HVAC or Reefer technician experience, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform installations.
- Thermo King experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, work with tools, and operate in various physical environments (ladders, harnesses).
- Comfortable working in a flexible, remote environment and collaborating with a team.
- Strong communication skills, both in-person and online, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Russian is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed for work-related tasks.
