BreakPoint Labs is seeking three Cybersecurity Engineers for three separate locations, Jacksonville, FL (Mayport), San Diego, CA, and Sasebo, Japan. The overarching responsibilities are providing on-ship and local administrative and technical engineering support, performing ship checks, providing critical fleet schedule information and coordination, and serving as a liaison to the ship, etc. Responsibilities include: - Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) support, including all efforts required to deliver new TSCE baselines to the fleet. Coordinate efforts to meet fleet requirements and assist with written agreements (e.g. MOA/MOU).
- Develop ship inspection and test procedures for ship check reports.
- Provide ship check reports in accordance with Ship Check guidance materials.
- Perform installations, removals, overhauls, upgrades, and/or provide technical assistance for assemblies, units, equipment, systems, ECPs and alterations.
- Coordinate with the Activity's Alteration Installation Team (AIT) to ensure all material and instructions, TDPs, DFS, etc. are approved and installed.
- Support all efforts required to deliver Risk Management Framework (RMF) body of evidence (BOE), updating XACTA records, and support assessment efforts.
- Support security-related procedures and policy creation.
- Support the development and approval of system change requests (SCR), to include evaluation of security impact, coordination for Threat Assessments, and obtaining CCB approvals.
- Support the review of Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA) and provide approval or disapproval recommendations to the ISSM.
- Support COMSEC requirements, including coordinating with POCs, receiving keys, and conducting remote key activities.
- Support during underway periods as required to achieve tasking objectives.
- 20% Travel Required Required Experience in each of the following disciplines / areas, totaling no less than ten (10) years: - Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) Program experience
- Computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Risk Management Framework (RMF), and the implementation of Cybersecurity and IA boundary defense techniques and various IA-enabled appliances/applications (e.g. Firewalls, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Switch/Routers, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
- Hands-on experience with eMASS and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS).
- Experience implementation STIG/SRGs.
- Performing vulnerability assessments with ACAS (ACAS certificate strongly preferred).
- Remediating vulnerability findings to include implementing vendor patches on both Linux and Windows Operating systems. Certifications Required: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISC2 , or alternate IAT Level III certification (CASP, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP). DoD Clearance Required: Security Clearance Secret. Education Level Required: Bachelor's Degree in the Area(s) of Study of either Cybersecurity, Cyber Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
