JOB SUMMARY
- The Recruiting Director (RD) is responsible for recruitment, screening, and hiring of high-quality Management Candidates.
- RD's are the Brand Ambassadors for Waffle House in their assigned markets.
- The RD actively utilizes approved online recruiting platforms to source management candidates.
- The RD develops appropriate relationships with the colleges in their markets to source management candidates and enhance the Waffle House brand.
- The RD actively develops business relationships and networks throughout the business community in their assigned market.
- Specific work hours will be determined by the needs of the assigned market that the Recruiting Director supports. Work locations include Waffle House restaurants, local community businesses, organizations, retail establishments, schools, colleges, remote work, etc.
- Generally, the RD will work Monday - Friday and occasionally on weekends.
- The RD works all holidays and special events in support of the people initiative in their markets.
- The RD will report to an Area Vice President in their assigned markets. There is also accountability to the Senior Vice President (SVP) in their assigned markets.
- A RD may have a moderate travel schedule with occasional overnight travel depending on the assigned areas.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Recruitment/Hiring:
- Ability to effectively recruit, interview (as needed), and influence the hiring decision to select the best Management Candidates determined by competencies, skills, and cultural fit within the Company.
- Develop and execute recruitment programs that promote career opportunities and inclusion at Waffle House restaurants.
- The RD role is one which develops business relationships in the community in addition to utilizing online recruiting platforms.
- This role involves both remote work as well as in-person representation of Waffle House at events throughout the assigned areas.
- Meet recruiting/hiring expectations while functioning within the current Company systems.
- Lead Management recruiting initiatives in assigned areas.
- Coach and develop the Operations Team in recruiting and the Hiring Process.
- Utilize approved online recruiting platforms to build an effective company presence and recruit qualified Operations Management Candidates.
- Build synergistic relationships in the community that provide win/win scenarios.
- Build diverse relationships in the community to generate applicant flow.
- Build the Waffle House brand on college campuses to enhance recruiting efforts.
- Develop business relationships and networking opportunities with an appropriate number of community contacts.
- Seeks to find win/win, mutually beneficial relationships with Community Partners.
- Ability to influence others and get others' buy-in to a desired outcome.
- Ability to meet or exceed expectations through goal setting and action plans.
- Provide information on Company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Analyze Candidate information provided by the Recruiting Coordinator and conduct personal interviews utilizing STAR Behavioral Interviewing techniques as needed.
- Coordinate all Candidate screening through the assigned Recruiting Coordinator.
- Make recommendations regarding the suitability of Management Applicants for employment.
- Complete new hire packages on all Management applicants following the final hiring decision.
- Maintain records on recruitment efforts as required.
Waffle House Brand Building:
- Conduct a total of 3 In-person branding events each quarter in the markets supported.
- Events can be college based or community based. College is preferred.
- Initiative is designed to build the brand, educate others about career opportunities with the company, and allow the audience to see Waffle House as America's Place To Work.
- Involve local Operations Management Team in the branding events.
Training and Retention:
- Ability to influence proper training environment for Manager Trainees (MT).
- Consistent follow-up on quality of MT initial training program (through completion of the MTS Program). Focus on the actual experience of the new hire MT.
- Highlight any concerns to both AVP and SVP.
- Weekly check-ins with each MT either in-person or over the phone.
- Ensure there is a game plan for each MT once they complete their initial training. Ensure the MT understands the next steps of their career path.

Skills/Education:
- Successful recruiting for management positions
- Extremely high internal self-motivation
- Always represent the Waffle House brand professionally through both actions and personal appearance.
- Excellent self-management and delegating to others.
- Time management, organizing and prioritizing
- Effective interviewing techniques and outcomes utilizing approved company standards
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet and e-mail
- Recruiting or outside sales experience preferred
- 4-year College Degree preferred
- Driver's License and insurance
- Ability to pass the current Waffle House management background check and drug test
Abilities:
- Ability and desire to become the Brand Ambassador for Waffle House in the assigned market
- The ability to think ahead to a desired outcome and work in a systematic way to complete the tasks required

This person will be based in the Gainesville, FL area and also support the Valdosta, GA market.
Expected annual income is $94,571 including base and monthly bonuses. Paid auto expenses and cell phone reimbursement.
