Job Title: Recruiting Assistant (Part-Time, Remote with Limited In-Office Requirement)

Location: Primarily Remote - Occasional Mondays In-Office in Three Rivers Michigan


Overview:

Colonial Life is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiting Assistant to join our growing team. This role will start as a part-time position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will be primarily remote but must be available for in-office collaboration on Mondays when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to potential candidates to introduce them to opportunities with Colonial Life
  • Post and manage job listings across multiple platforms
  • Conduct initial phone screens (first interviews) with applicants
  • Coordinate and schedule second interviews with hiring managers
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate communications and interview stages
  • Take on responsibility for conducting second interviews independently
  • Support general recruitment activities and contribute to process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a recruiting, administrative, or customer-facing role preferred
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with prospective candidates
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (or willingness to learn)
  • Able to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable to take on more responsibility over time

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time to start (approx. 15-25 hours/week), with potential to move to full-time
  • Must be available to work in-office on Mondays as needed
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
