Description

PURPOSE : Recreation Associate positions perform classes, leagues & programs for residents of all ages. Actual work time is dependent on the program and staffing needs of the City. Employment is at-will, and may be terminated at any time by the City. Minimum Requirements:
Lifeguard:
1. Minimum age 15 prior to first day of work
2. American Red Cross Certification Required
Swim Instructor:
1. Minimum age 16 prior to first day of work
2. Water Safety Instructor Certification required
Pool Attendant:
Minimum age 14 prior to first day of work; Age 16 preferred. Summer Summer Camp
Day Camp Leader Varied start dates with a weekly schedule Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Summer camp programs provide traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts nature study, sports, swimming, and hiking. Summer Youth Sports
Umpire Baseball; Softball
Supervisor T-Ball
Varied start dates ranging between May through August
Monday - Friday
Youth sports provide the informal competition while developing skills, knowledge and teamwork. Leagues stress having fun, sportsmanship, safety, and sport skills pertaining to the sport.Summer Adult Sports
Umpire Softball Varied start dates ranging between May through August
Adult Slow Pitch Softball leagues include Men's, Women's and Coed leagues for all ability levels. Summer
Tennis Instructor
June - August
Classes are morning and afternoon, Monday -Friday
Instructional programs provide the opportunity to develop skills while having fun. Must have background in designated sport. Teaching experience preferred. Summer

REQUIREMENTS:

•  Requires some experience and training or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills for program teaching.
•  Ability to work the entire program or session.
