Receptionist
PAY: $17.30 - $20.96/hr.
Part time- 20 hours per week; flexible

The Receptionist is responsible for greeting individuals by phone and in person and maintaining the overall appearance of public areas, thereby promoting a positive image of the agency to the community. The Receptionist assists with general office duties, mail and cash receipts, and inventory control of supplies. The Receptionist supervises reception volunteers. This position reports to the Facilities Associate. This is a part-time, 20 hours per week, bilingual preferred (Spanish/English), non-exempt position.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Functional Responsibilities:

• Welcomes visitors and issues identification badges.

• Ensures accessibility, cleanliness, and general pleasant appearance of public areas, including reception area, kitchen, and client showers.

• Answers and routes, phone calls and faxes; checks and distributes agency voicemail.

• Processes incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Keeps up to date with postal requirements and supplies. Assists with preparation of bulk mailings.

• Processes incoming cash and/or check donations and rent payments.

• Inventories, organizes, and maintains stocks of paper supplies, office supplies, and kitchen supplies (including tea and coffee stations.) Prepares office supply requests.

• Prepare check requests for office related supplies and bills.

• Maintains supplies of brochures, flyers, and condoms. Posts and removes notices to clients, staff, and public in a timely fashion.

• Trains, schedules, and supervises reception volunteers.

• Assists with office related documents and staff communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

• Two years' experience as receptionist or similar position.

• Ability to operate standard office equipment (computers, photocopiers, printers)

• Experience working with multiple phone lines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Sensitivity to cultural and personal differences in age, ethnicity, gender/gender

• Understand and honor the concept of confidentiality.

• Ability to project a positive image of the agency while greeting visitors.

• Excellent clerical, oral, written, and organizational skills

• Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid AZ Driver's License, current insurance, and a driving record that will be supported by our liability insurance provider.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-starter with strong attention to detail who can work autonomously.

• Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals including volunteers, staff members, clients, and general public.
