Under the general supervision of the Authorizations & Billing Manager, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing a welcoming environment and providing an excellent customer service experience for our patients. The successful candidate must be a charismatic and positive person who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment, is detail oriented, motivated to succeed, and learns quickly. The Front Desk Receptionist should be capable of working independently, take initiative, have excellent communication skills with an outstanding professional presentation, and be able to work collaboratively with all departments and patients in the clinic.
Additional responsibilities to include assisting with projects assigned by Facilities Manager, and/or Executive team, based on clinic needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as point of contact for all incoming calls. This will require working with a multi-line phone system
- Check in patients, collect co-payments
- Accurately input client and insurance information into clinic systems, or update data as needed
- Serve as liaison between patients and clinical staff: once evaluation / reassessment / discharge is complete, fax to PCP/PCM
- Work collaboratively with other admin team members
- Communicate to providers when clients have been added or deleted from their schedules
- Build and maintain relationships with families and staff
- Help to enforce company policies
- Communicate with team members when there are insurance/statement related scheduling issues
- Maintain the lobby for clean and professional appearance. The lobby is the first impression when clients come in; start dishwasher as needed throughout the day & at the end of the shift
- Be available to help with children when needed. This can be any from helping to clean a mess to helping with transition coverage

REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or GED
- Two years' experience in reception / administrative role; preferably in a healthcare setting
- Flexibility in work hours
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
