Job Description The Executive Office Receptionist Lead (EORL) provides high-level front desk support to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Executive Office. The Executive Office is comprised of the President, his Executive Assistant, four Vice Presidents, and the Budget Officer. The EORL provides a high level of customer service and professionalism to all they interact with, which includes university leadership, church officers, executives, and students. The EORL is expected to keep up with a professional environment, the quick pace of the Executive Office, and regularly changing schedules. Being teachable, perceptive, and proficient at learning are required to effectively manage the competing demands and priorities associated with this position. The position is one of high visibility and often includes working with documents and information that are confidential, sensitive and of high importance to BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
The paid position is located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $14.00 per hour. Hours will be between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (20 hours a week).
Responsibilities - Assist in managing a team of receptionists, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Provide front desk support to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Executive Office.
- Maintain a professional public image for BYU-Pathway Worldwide and for the Executive Office.
- Complete special projects including (but not limited to): performing research and data analysis, gathering information for presentations, relaying assignments, and report editing and writing.
- Draft high-profile and professional correspondence and communication.
- Perform routine office duties such as typing, filing, ordering and restocking supplies, entering data, drafting correspondence, running errands, and scheduling rooms and appointments.
- Welcoming high-profile guests and visitors to the Executive Office.
- Receive, screen, and place phone calls for the Executive Office.
Qualifications - Must be a student at a Church Education System (CES) School
- Previous office experience required
- Highly professional with mature judgement and demeanor
- Capable of complete discretion and confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational, writing, grammar, and editing skills
- Highest proficiency with written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint)
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Sound judgement in decision making
- Highly detail-oriented and mindful of others' needs
- Excellent time management and highly proactive
