Receptionist Redan, LLC is looking for a
Receptionist to support a high-profile federal agency as part of a growing team in the government contracting sector.
As a receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, maintaining a professional front desk presence, managing visitor access, coordinating mail and package handling, and supporting agency security and credentialing functions. This role also includes general administrative duties, data entry, and interfacing with internal staff and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, courteous, and tech-savvy, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. You must be able to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism, accuracy, and discretion.
What You'll Be Doing As a Receptionist at Redan, you will:
- Greet and check in all visitors, monitor access, and maintain visitor logs
- Provide front desk coverage and manage incoming calls professionally
- Support PIV credentialing: enrollment, fingerprinting, activation, scheduling, and termination
- Maintain updated office directories and agency records
- Track and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and courier packages
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, scheduling, and space management
- Set up conference rooms and board meetings as needed
- Submit service requests for building maintenance issues
- Ensure front desk area is clean, secure, and presentable at all times
- Follow agency procedures for security, confidentiality, and visitor engagement
Profile of Success - 3+ years in a receptionist or administrative support role
- Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms)
- Experience handling confidential information and following protocols
- Familiarity with federal or high-security office settings is a plus
- Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn agency systems (e.g., SPLAN, Data Brookfield)
Required - U.S. Citizenship
- Associate's Degree or 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to pass a federal background check
- Professional appearance and office-appropriate attire
- On-site availability in Washington, D.C. (Monday-Friday, full-time)
- Ability to handle PII and perform PIV credentialing functions after training
- Basic understanding of security and confidentiality best practices
