Summary As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, the Receptionist supports Abbott Construction's culture by delivering exceptional customer service, both internally and externally, in alignment with the company's mission and core values. This position manages front-desk responsibilities, coordinates office logistics, and provides administrative support to various departments, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.
Duties - Support the culture of Abbott Construction by providing a high-level customer service inside and outside the company in alignment with Abbott's core values and mission statement.
- Warmly greet and assist all visitors and callers with professionalism and courtesy.
- Determine the purpose of guest visits and direct or escort them to the appropriate destination.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and route them appropriately, reflecting Abbott's commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Receive, sort and distribute mail and packages. Coordinates the pick-up of all outgoing express packages.
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked and cleaned
- Manage supply ordering
- Manage calendars for various meeting rooms. Provide set-up and break-down of meeting rooms as needed
- Perform miscellaneous office errands and support tasks as requested by project staff and approved by the Administration Manager
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of office or administration experience.
- Ability to type 40wpm
- Exceptional communication and listening skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong customer-focused demeanor.
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with office equipment (multi-line phone system, computer, copier, printer, fax)
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities.
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $28.00. This position is eligible for a target bonus.

Note: Sick leave accrues at one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked. Accrual for sick leave is capped at 240 hours.
