Job Title: Receiving + Inventory Clerk
Pay Rate: $17-$20/hour
Location: Plainfield, IN
Job Duties: - Under minimal supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor - assist the Warehouse with all incoming shipments, component audit sampling, stocking, and warehouse keep up (cleanliness) in a medium size business environment standard.
- Receive incoming, shipments and 100% count of hardware such as devices, USBs, and SD Cards.
- To ensure that high-value items such as Flash media - SD Card, and USB drives are always processed and kept inside the secure cage.
- Ensure all materials that require special ESD handling are received according to ESD receiving requirements.
- Receive and process lot-controlled and serialized products based on ISO process and client's specific requirements.
- Monitor material's flaws and on-hand inventory.
- Ensure that all incoming shipments are verified, checked, received, processed, and inspected according to receiving procedure, company standards, and quality system requirements.
- Return processing and perform on-time Final Disposition for all returns received.
- Ensure all returns are processed promptly and accurately per client-specific requirements.
- Assist and support receiving personnel with the Incoming Inspection process of all incoming shipments as required and needed.
- Ensure that all shipments received are put away correctly and transactions are done promptly.
- Ensure all receipt quantities are accurate and meet quality system specifications and requirements.
- Manage non-conforming and scrap products according to the ISO process and quality system requirements.
- Ensure that all products in stockroom locations have the proper identification
- Ensure that damages are reported to the account management team, where evidence of damage is required to provide pictures.
- Support, and improve continual process improvements and follow all the processes and support department goals to achieve the company's quality objectives.
- Assist warehouse personnel with activities for productivity, on-time delivery of components and component shortages to Kit Audit, continuous improvement, cycle counts, daily output, safety, and team well-being as the primary goal.
- Build a positive team relationship based on measurable goals, open communication, and participation in warehouse goals.
- Maintain an excellent business relationship with outside customers and vendors, as well as inside account managers, planners, shipping, fulfillment and other departments.
- Assist in the processing of production shortages for turnkey and consigned work orders to minimize production downtime.
- Assist in coordinating the unloading and staging of components/materials from various sources of delivery such as UPS, Vendors, etc.
- Help contribute to a clean, neat, organized manufacturing warehouse to achieve efficiency across the board.
- Work as an integral part of the warehouse team, performing a support role (defined above).
- Must understand warehouse, receiving, and stocking of incoming materials coupled with a hands-on approach to warehouse problem-solving.
- Perform daily tasks with considerations of waste minimization, and other environmental considerations.
- Adhere to the environmental policy and be aware of significant environmental impacts related to the job.
- Support the Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation as directed by the supervisor.
- Inform the supervisor regarding any accidents or nonconformities that may affect the environment.
- Provide suggestions for improving the EMS to the supervisor and management or by using the suggestion box.
Requirements: - 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse environment.
- Must have a detailed knowledge of inventories and record maintenance. Experience in using various warehouse equipment including Reach Truck & Forklift (stand up and Sit down) Certification.
