What does it mean to be a part of our Warehouse Coordinator/ Clerk team?

A Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by ensuring that inventory is properly received, stored, and distributed. This role involves coordinating various warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and stock management, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role works closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure that operational goals are met while maintaining accuracy, safety, and compliance with company policies. Our supply chain at UNFI is focused on providing superior service, quality and efficiency, improving every day to meet our customers' unique needs.

Starting pay rate of $19.75/hr

Schedule: Monday- Friday 2:00PM- 10:30PM

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicates frequently with supervisor to alert the status of on-going operations pertaining to the incumbent's area of responsibility.
  • Performs various Logistic Department related functions and assign-ments in an accurate and timely manner, as required by the circumstances and/or by the supervisor.
  • Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workload required during absences of facility personnel.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts daily.
  • Consistently performs slot and reserve verifications.
  • Enters data into the Inventory/Receiving system.
  • Assist the Manager/Coordinator with studies and projects.
  • Participate in reclamation and recoup of warehouse damage.

Job Requirements:
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - specifically Excel.
  • Prior warehouse clerical experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in Inventory Control is a plus.
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Experience:

• Previous Warehouse/Selecting experience preferred

Onsite Role:
  • This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office.

Physical Environment/Demands:

• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.

• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
