Job Title: Receiving Clerk

Job Description

The Warehouse Receiving Clerk performs a variety of shipping/receiving functions accurately and efficiently to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. This position requires accepting, inspecting, stocking, and transferring products to quickly get the correct products to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Accept and sign for deliveries from manufacturers.
  • Unload shipments from delivery trucks and place them in designated locations using power equipment such as forklifts.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, invoices, and/or orders to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, damages, or discrepancies for reporting.
  • Process returns for any defective or incorrect items.
  • Communicate with sales and purchasing to rectify problems related to delays, damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Aid in keeping a clean warehouse.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. (handling screws and bolts).

  • Good math and reading skills (inventory systems).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Shipping & receiving experience.
  • Inventory control skills.
  • Computer operation knowledge.
  • Experience with bill of material.
  • RF scanner usage.
  • Data entry proficiency.
  • Labeling software knowledge.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools.
  • Material handling experience.
  • Warehouse inventory management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
