Job Summary

Receives incoming materials, unpacks, and stores materials as needed in designated locations. Unloads railcars and operates forklift for the purpose of material flow. Maintains raw material and production inventories. Purchase raw materials and maintain SAP Inventories. Contact vendors about overdue deliveries and organize shipment times. Operate forklifts to load flat bed and box trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive all inbound materials collecting all the related paperwork and documents, verifying quantities match purchase orders, and inspect material for quality defects

• Record inventory levels of all raw materials daily.

• Ensure all Received inbound materials are documented into SAP.

• Unload all production, shipping, lab, safety, maintenance supplies, equipment and place in proper locations.

• Hook up and remove hoses and fittings for the offloading of raw materials by rail or truck.

• Follow exact procedure for safe unloading of chemicals, and complete logs relating to off-loading.

• Maintain and clean ISO, Poly fittings, and valves.

• File Bill of Lading for raw materials in the maintenance office and inform Management.

• File copies of all other materials received in production and maintenance offices.

• Maintain good housekeeping inside and outside the Plant Receiving Areas.

• Maintain filters on Unloading Pumps.

• Organize and maintain the raw materials storage area in the warehouse, as well as railcar storage area in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations.

• Manage COAs/purchasing excel spreadsheet that contains raw material items

• Manage the disposal of Empty Totes.

• Operate propane sit down lift trucks.

• Track core waste and enter on spreadsheet (monthly/yearly)

• Create Purchase Orders, transfer material to other plants, Resolve billing and quantity issues in SAP

• Help maintain Kanban system, SDS binders

• Line out HAZ waste pick ups, Schedule deliveries of tank trucks and railcars

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

• Ability to ensure receipt of the proper material in good order.

• Ability to run and perform daily inspections of forklift and other equipment used in the course of the job responsibilities.

• Ability to perform all off-loading procedures from tank truck and rail car, as well as off-loading safely. Ability to complete transfers to the proper storage vessels in the proper quantities.

• Knowledge of all the chemical and safety characteristics of Poly, ISO, Pentane and any other raw materials as required.

• Ability to understand SAP procedures and to successfully perform receiving and expense requisition transactions in this program.

• Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety polices. Ability to use Lock-out/Tag-out procedures as needed.

• Ability to comprehend the impact of sending incorrect/defective products.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Experience with forklift driving required

Equipment Used:

• Forklift

• CB radio

• Extensive PPE safety equipment

• Office equipment (computer, phone, kiosk)

• Computer systems (RFGen)

Working Conditions:

• Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following.

o Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside temperatures.

o Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points

o Noise of industrial machinery

• Typically, 40 hour per week with overtime as required

• Days/shift vary based on facility need

• Fast paced 24/7 operation
