In this position

Projects include leading FCSD (Ford Customer Service Division) PAC (Prevent Action Closures), leading the Jira Implementation for FSA (Field Service Action) Parts Bill of Materials Sign-Off, supporting the FSA Software Validation Project, as well as leading process improvement projects and supporting various other projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive technology, strong project management skills, strong presentation skills and experience with vehicle software development or deployment. This position will require strategy/planning, knowledge of dealership operations, excellent project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do
  • Lead FCSD Prevent Action Closure Process
  • Project manage cross-functional Prevent Action Closures following FSAs, Stop Ships and PACs directed by CCRG (Critical Concern Review Group), EPRC (Emission/Environmental Problem Review Committee) and Customer Satisfaction Forum
  • Ensure project milestones are completed on time and relay status to management
  • Represent FCSD at weekly governance meetings and process improvement forums
  • Constructively escalate when projects are not moving as expected or roadblocks are encountered
  • Manage senior management presentations and approvals of PACs to facilitate on-time closures
  • Experience in Three Legged Five Why
  • Lead the development and implementation of the FSA Parts Bill of Materials Jira Project
  • Lead the cross-functional team in product design to meet the needs of FCSD Recall, hardware and software Product Development, Quality and the Automotive Safety Office
  • Pilot the project with the cross-functional team
  • Train the cross-functional team in the use of the project and manage bug fixes
  • Evaluate FSA (Field Service Actions) technical instructions to determine if software updates are required and the affected modules
  • Manage contract data analyst who will:
  • Support cross-functional teams with data regarding FSAs
  • Manage list of in-scope FSAs by region and country
  • Research and evaluate historical software recalls to confirm affected populations
  • Analyze and compile software FSA audit data
You'll have
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of automotive experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience with Jira
  • 1+ years of Three-Legged Five Whys (3L5W) Experience - A problem solving method to address root causes, detection failures, and systematic issues.
Even better, you may have
  • Experience with multiple teams within SE&O (Service, Engineering and Operations) strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple dynamic priorities
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar project management certification preferred
  • Analytical abilities to collect, organize and interpret data to help drive decisions and execute projects
  • Experience with Alteryx, Macros and Python a plus
  • Experience with vehicle software development, validation or deployment preferred
  • Experience leading highly skilled teams to drive results against key objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and confidence in delivering presentations to diverse audiences a plus
  • Ability to self-manage, be a team player and demonstrate initiative
  • Proven skills to liaise effectively between teams
  • Dealership experience preferred
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Ability to work in white space and create new processes
  • Experience or firm understanding of automotive service repair process
