Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a senior-level candidate to lead the Real Time Mission Management (RTMM), Fusion, and Tracking (RFT) Product Team in the ES Defense Engineering team here at BAE Systems, Inc. The RFT Product Team oversees the management and evolution of RTMM capabilities, which includes routing, mission planning, fusion, and tracking. The RFT Product Team provides the technical management and process know-how to develop, maintain and deliver componentized core Mission Management, Fusion, and Tracking software and systems capabilities to both near term and forward-looking critical programs. In the role as the RFT Product Team Lead, you will lead a team of software and systems engineers to develop solutions for our customer's problems, support existing programs, perform research to develop new capabilities, and lead the governing effort (e.g. Change Control Board, or CCB) managing the identification, development, adjudication and DevSecOps environment to deliver core RTMM, Fusion, and Tracking components to programs. Additionally, you will work across the ES Business Areas to understand their needs for RTMM, Fusion, and Tracking technologies and develop plans along with the business to implement the technologies in the timeline required either on contract or internal funds, including support to technical marketing and proposal efforts (or delegating team members to support). The RFT Product Team Lead is expected to be a senior representative of the ES Engineering organization to both internal (i.e. Business Area) and external customers across a variety of activities. As a result, the RFT Product Team Lead will likely have program responsibilities (e.g. Software Engineering Lead (SWEL), or Program Engineering Manager (PEM as well as insights into a host of other programs/efforts. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline with 8 to 10+ years of experience after the date for the completion of your Bachelor's degree, or 6 to 8+ years of experience after the date for the completion of your Master's Degree
Active and current DoD Secret clearance
Knowledge of mission planning systems and associated foundational algorithms
Knowledge of fusion and tracking methodologies
Software or Systems engineering background and strong leadership skills that includes leading small ( Proven performance management, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills
Ability to balance working with multiple teams, local and remote
Experience with managing projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained
Understanding of software system architectures Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Active and current DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
Knowledge of RTMM technologies with the ability to demonstrate those capabilities to potential customers
Previous or current experience as a people manager
Previous experience with building an Engineering organization
Experience with supporting external interactions with other companies and customers
Experience with providing coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensuring all necessary reviews and approvals are received
Understanding of Cloud Native technologies
Understanding of Object-Oriented software development practices
Understanding of software development life-cycle management in a DevSecOps environment

Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
