We are currently partnering with a leading commercial real estate investment firm seeking a highly organized Paralegal to join their team. The firm specializes in managing complex commercial real estate transactions and closings and is looking for an experienced professional with expertise in title, escrow issues, and loan documents. This role is ideal for someone with a background in legal, though direct commercial real estate experience is essential.
Position Overview:
As a Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting commercial real estate transactions. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of closings, ensuring all title and escrow matters are handled efficiently, and reviewing a variety of legal documents. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, request, and review title work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review title commitments and exceptions to identify potential issues.
- Organize and request title inspections as needed.
- Review contracts, leases, agreements, appraisals, loan documents, and closing instructions to ensure proper execution and alignment with transaction requirements.
- Serve as a liaison to coordinate transactions with clients, agents, loan officers, and closers.
- Draft or review closing documents prepared by third parties, including deeds, carryback documents, settlement statements, curative title documents, Closing Instructions Letters to title companies, and escrow agreements/instructions.
- Maintain organized documentation and manage electronic filing systems to ensure efficient record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience in handling commercial real estate transactions and closings.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal.
- Strong understanding of title and escrow processes, as well as loan documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with internal and external parties.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to resolve conflicts in a proactive manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation: $85k - $115k depending on relevant experience.
