Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support our legal team in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing and preparing documents related to property acquisitions, dispositions, leases, financing, and land use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing.
- Draft, review, and revise real estate documents such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, easements, and closing documents.
- Perform due diligence including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and UCC searches.
- Coordinate title and survey review, and work with title companies to resolve title issues and obtain title insurance.
- Organize and manage transaction timelines and closing checklists to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare closing binders and ensure accurate documentation of completed transactions.
- Research property ownership, liens, encumbrances, and zoning regulations.
- Maintain and organize real estate files, including both electronic and paper records.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, brokers, and municipal agencies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial real estate law.
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, title and survey review, and lease agreements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
