The Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, and closing coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced legal environment.

Description


  • Support attorneys in all phases of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financings, and leasing

  • Review and analyze title reports, surveys, and title commitments; coordinate resolution of title and survey issues

  • Manage due diligence efforts: order and review entity, lien, and UCC searches; compile and organize supporting documents; prepare diligence summaries

  • Assist in coordinating closings by preparing checklists, closing statements, and post-closing binders/documentation

  • Research zoning, entitlement, and real property records; review easements and development-related documents

  • Maintain internal transaction tracking systems to ensure timely and accurate updates on key milestones

  • Prepare client intake documentation and engagement letters; ensure timely receipt of retainer payments

  • Provide litigation support when needed, including assistance with discovery and electronic court filings


Profile


  • Paralegal certificate strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in real estate transactions (both commercial and residential), title/survey review, and closings

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate documentation, title insurance, due diligence processes, and closing procedures

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ACRIS, and legal research/databases such as Westlaw and NYSCEF

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment

  • Notary Public certification is a plus
