We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced Permanent Real Estate Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support in all areas of real estate law, with a particular focus on municipal utility districts and affordable housing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a robust legal team and play a critical role in managing complex real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and supporting our clients' strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys in all aspects of real estate law, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing of real property.
- Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence investigations related to real estate transactions, land use, zoning, and environmental issues.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, easements, and other real estate documents.
- Manage and monitor the progress of real estate transactions, ensuring timely completion and compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, and other third parties to resolve title issues and obtain necessary documentation.
- Assist in the formation, governance, and operations of municipal utility districts.
- Support the development and implementation of affordable housing projects, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain detailed and organized files and records related to all real estate matters.
- Stay current on developments in real estate law, municipal utility districts, and affordable housing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal is required.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate law, with specific experience in municipal utility districts and affordable housing.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research and due diligence investigations.
- Strong ability to prepare and review a wide variety of real estate documents.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and third parties.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and develop practical solutions.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professional discretion.
