Job Details

Established Texas law firm is seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to join their Austin office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their skills and experience in a stimulating environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions, including drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting title searches, and preparing closing documents.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist attorneys in preparing for closings, including title and survey review
2. Conduct title searches to determine ownership and lien status of properties
3. Draft or review various real estate documents including purchase agreements, lease agreements, deeds, and closing documents
4. Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations with probable case outcomes for individuals and businesses
5. Collaborate with team members to manage, organize and track files, and documents to ensure timely responses to deadlines and requests
6. Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel throughout transaction processes
7. Conduct legal research and factual investigation
8. Maintain and update databases and tracking systems responding to inquiries promptly and accurately
9. Provide administrative support such as managing client billing, updating reporting on case status, and coordinating and scheduling meetings

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal
2. Paralegal certification or equivalent is required
3. Proficient in conducting title searches, reviewing surveys, and preparing closing documents
4. Extensive knowledge of real estate law, contract law, and corporate law
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff at all levels
6. Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and provide practical legal solutions
10. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information
