HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
The Senior Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the acquisition teams by overseeing the outside law firm and other vendors on deal specifics, preparing, reviewing, and managing real estate documents and coordinating all aspects of closing transactions. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong understanding of the real estate closing process.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL GET TO:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the outside law firm on a specific deal-by-deal basis, ensuring that the law firm receives necessary information, delivers appropriate services, and meets deadlines.
- Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, environmental companies, property condition assessors, lenders, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the deal are aligned and on track for closing.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing real estate contracts, purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and closing documents.
- Conduct due diligence reviews, including title and survey analysis, zoning reports, environmental reports, property condition assessments, lien searches, and entity documentation.
- Track deadlines and contingencies such as inspection periods, financing dates, and closing milestones.
- Assist in entity formation and maintenance (LLCs, LPs, etc.), and ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized transaction files and ensure proper document execution and recording.
- Provide general support to the acquisition teams on special projects and day-to-day operations.
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certificate required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in real estate transactional work, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Familiarity with commercial or residential real estate closings, title work, and due diligence processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across departments.
- High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and title/closing software
