Position Overview: In this engaging role, the Real Estate Manager champions Papa Murphy's commitment to quality, service, integrity, and teamwork by:
- Scheduling, facilitating, and leading Development meetings and discussions with existing Franchisees in areas identified for potential expansion implement new strategies for growth in order to achieve Papa Murphy's development goals.
- Identifying viable areas for Papa Murphy's continued growth through analysis of markets and trade areas, demographic data and trends, shopping patterns and competition.
- Evaluating, in person, potential growth markets to verify viability of new store sites including potential obstacles to success such as real estate availability or quality, traffic patterns, and demographic data.
- Presenting potential new sites/expansion, relocation sites, stores at risk for potential closure, and Company Store lease renewal terms to Real Estate Committee, for approval or discussion.
- Networking with real estate brokers, leasing agents, landlords and developers to understand market and trade area dynamics and identify potential sites.
- Serving as a real estate consultant to Franchisees throughout the site searching and acquisition and transfer process.
- Guiding and assisting existing Franchisees on lease negotiations and renewals, including review of existing terms and identifying areas of potential savings or more favorable lease terms to better fit the individual needs of the Franchisee.
- Assisting in real estate efforts of Company Stores, as needed, including researching and creating proposals for renewals, negotiations, relocations, and remodels, while continuing to identify potential areas of opportunities for savings or improved operations.

What you bring to the table:

- Must be a self-motivated hard worker with the ability to work on sometimes abstract, out-of-the-box assignments
- Knowledge and understanding of real estate legal terminology and documents
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Aggressive self-starter with excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop positive interpersonal relationships with franchisees, brokers, landlords, etc.
- Advanced computer skills, including prior experience using MS Office Suite

Foundations of your career:
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance or related field
- Real Estate License
- 5+ years prior experience or knowledge of commercial real estate, preferably in a franchise environment
- Ability to travel, by air and car, minimum of 50% of the time
