The Real Estate Fund Controller/Director will oversee the financial reporting, accounting, and compliance functions for our real estate investment funds. This role requires deep expertise in fund accounting, real estate financial structures, and investor reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing financial processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Fund Controller / Director Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting and accounting for multiple real estate investment funds.

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards.

• Manage fund-level financial operations, including capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.

• Work closely with asset management, tax, and legal teams to ensure fund compliance and efficiency.

• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and best practices to enhance financial reporting accuracy.

• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and third-party fund administrators.

• Oversee financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and performance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with SEC, IRS, and other regulatory requirements applicable to real estate funds.

• Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial data and responding to investor inquiries.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).

• 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, with a strong background in real estate investments.

• Deep knowledge of real estate fund structures, waterfall calculations, and investor reporting.

• Expertise in GAAP, fair value accounting, and financial regulatory requirements.

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools (Yardi, MRI, Investran, or similar).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
